Coach Arway has also been an assistant softball coach at Eureka High School since 2013.Ĭoach Arway graduated from Eureka High School in 2000, where he lettered in baseball, soccer, and JV basketball. He also spent two years as the GM of the Creve Coeur American Legion baseball program (2013-2014). As the head coach of Creve Coeur Post 397, he led the AAA team to a 2nd place finish in the 2012 state championship. Coach Arway has coached baseball at Francis Howell High School (2018-2020), Eureka High School (2010-2018), Webster Groves High School (2005-2010) and multiple American Legion programs in the area (2001-2014). He has 20 years of coaching experience in multiple sports (baseball, soccer, basketball, & softball). PJ Arway is the son of Mike and Paulette Arway, and was raised in North Brunswick, NJ, and Wildwood, MO. He currently teaches P.E., Strength Training, and Driver Education at Rockwood Summit High School. He and his wife stay busy with their kid's athletics, as they are involved in volleyball, hockey, and baseball. In his first seven years as head coach, he has amassed a record of 101-43-1 and won two conference championships (2017, 2019) as well as one district championship (2017).Ĭoach Schneider resides in Fenton with his wife Christine and three kids, Tessa, Owen and Wyatt. In fact, there has only been four years that he has not directly been a part of the baseball program’s 27-year history. He is the fourth head coach at Summit since the opening of the school in 1993. He graduated in 2000 with a teaching degree in Social Science and Secondary Education.Ģ021 marks his 20th year of coaching varsity baseball at Rockwood Summit. When his baseball career was cut short from arm injuries his Freshmen year he continued on and finished up playing four years of collegiate football. He received 2nd team All-State honors in football, MVP and scoring leader in hockey, as well as being selected to the All-Conference team and being named Conference Player of Year for baseball.Ĭoach Schneider attended McKendree University to play football and baseball. In High School he was a three sport athlete (football, hockey, and baseball) and enjoyed a senior campaign that included being a captain of the football team, a trip to the quarterfinals in football, captain of the hockey team, a Wickenheiser Cup championship in hockey, a captain of the baseball team, and helped lead the baseball team to an 18-4 mark before losing to eventual state champion Parkway West in the district championship game. Coach Schneider grew up in Fenton attending Stanton Elementary, Rockwood South Middle, and finally Rockwood Summit, where he was part of the first graduating class in 1996. ![]()
